First Free Students is a community of teens and adult leaders who worship, grow and serve together. In this welcoming and tight-knit community, students discover their true identity in Jesus and pursue authentic friendships.

Sunday Mornings

First Free Youth Connect - 9:15am

Sundays from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Element room. Both middle and high school students are invited to come, eat breakfast together, hang out and have some fun together before going upstairs for the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Contemporary Worship Service - 10:30am

The Contemporary Service is a vibrant, modern gathering where passionate worship music, creative elements, and a relevant message come together to help you experience God in a fresh way. Led by our worship band, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it easy to participate whether you’re new to church or have been attending for years.

First Free Students

Heartbeat - Wednesday Nights

  • Wednesdays 6:15pm – 8:15pm
  • Meets in the Heartbeat Room in the lower level near the East Entrance
Wednesday evenings are our primary time for students to worship and grow together in community. We cultivate community by playing games, enjoying worship, hearing a transforming message from God’s Word, and participating in small group discussion times.  

Around Town Thursdays

  • Thursdays 1 – 5:00 pm
  • Meg’s Daily Grind on Perryville Road

Throughout the year, students are invited to join our Student Director along with other leaders for an open-house style hang out together as we pursue authentic community together. Check our social platforms for details and updates. 

Life Groups

  • Sundays 12:00pm – 1:30pm in the Heartbeat Room at First Free Rockford
  • Life Groups meet during the school year only
  • Lunch is provided for students

These small gatherings are where students can pursue authentic friendships, be transformed by God’s Word and ask hard questions about life and faith. Middle school groups meet in the Heartbeat Room at First Free Rockford.
