We are happy to report that at our recent Meeting of the Members at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, Dave Creek was affirmed as our new Associate Pastor of Family Ministries. Dave plans to begin his new role about Oct. 1. You can read our recent conversations with Dave here and here.
Also at the meeting:
- The church budget for Fiscal year 2024 was approved. The total budget is $3.21 million, with these funds the same as last year: General Fund $2.58 million; Missions Fund $405,000, Capital Fund $233,000. Our fiscal year runs Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.
- Three new Executive Elders were affirmed. They are Paul Geddes, Dan Purviance and Dean Senglaub.
- Rick Hall and Jim Killam were affirmed for additional terms as Shepherding Elders.
- Leland Freberg and Tom Myers were affirmed as members of the Audit Committee.
I am wondering if there is any plans in the works to remove the large curtain at the back of the pulpit. I believe it has been there most of the year and it takes away from our beautiful church.
