Carpenter’s Place Donation Drive

June 12 - June 19

On two consecutive Sundays, June 12 & 19, First Free Rockford will collect needed items for Carpenter’s Place. Simply bring items to church those two Sunday mornings and you’ll find collection points near the entrances.

Carpenter’s Place, 1149 Railroad Ave., is one of several Christian-based agencies serving homeless individuals and families in the Rockford area. It provides a daytime center where people can work on various aspects of rebuilding their lives.

Here are some items needed:

  • Hooded rain ponchos
  • Umbrellas
  • Reading glasses (assortment of strengths +1.25 on up)
  • Individual tissue packets
  • Deodorant
  • 33-gallon garbage bags
  • Children’s underwear sizes 4-10 (boys/girls)

And here’s a full list of items Carpenter’s Place needs.
