Big Day of Serving
Serving our City in the love of Christ
Each May, First Free Rockford sets aside a Saturday to help beautify our schools, parks and other institutions, and to connect with leaders in those places. Big Day of Serving is a chance for hundreds of us to serve — together — and impact our city with the love of Jesus. You pick the location and can serve alongside family, friends, your life group, coworkers, whomever you like. Anyone of any age can sign up. You don’t have to be a member of First Free.
*All volunteers over the age of 18 must complete a background check prior to serving (if they have not completed one for First Free Rockford in the past 3 years).

Whitehead Elementary School

- Supply cabinet organization
- Weeding and light landscaping
- Book sorting and boxing
Carpenter's Place
Location:
1149 Railroad Ave
Tasks:
- Painting
- Packing treat bags
- Organizing donations
Rockford Park District
Location:
Blackhawk Park
101 15th Ave
Tasks:
- Painting
- Miscellaneous jobs
