Faithful Fish Room: 2-1/2 to 3 year olds

Welcome to the Faithful Fish Room!

Head Teacher: Anja Knuth
Assistant Teachers: Melanie Purviance and Vickie Persinger

We are having so much fun this year in the Faithful Fish class room. Our little fishies are growing and growing! We have learned so many cool and fun stories about Jesus and his love for us and for others. This half of the year academically we will be introducing some basic Spanish and our colors and shapes. Their attention span has lengthened and their desire to learn is changing to more hands on. We will introduce some really cool center activities like the water table and sand table. How cool is that? We consider it an honor and privilege to teach your children about the love of Christ. Thank you for sharing them with us. Take a look at our new updated schedule.

As you all know, life with a 2 ½ - 3 year old requires a flexible schedule. Extra time may be needed to allow for diaper changes, special programs and extra hugs

A couple of reminders:

  • Please make sure to label ALL of your child’s items, even your child’s diapers and returnable lunch items.

  • Please let us know if your child is potty training so that we can help in their effort.

  • Please try to avoid bringing toys from home as these items can become mixed up with the classroom toys or even lost.

  • Your child will be given a folder on the first day of class.  This folder will contain the day’s crafts and information that we need to give to you.  Please take the contents of the folder home, it is yours; then place the empty folder in the basket located outside the Fish classroom.

Items to send with your child each day include:

  • A change of clothes, including socks and underwear in a large Ziploc bag. If your child is not potty trained also include extra diapers or pull-ups.     (These items are to be placed in your child’s cubby outside of the classroom).

  • 2 diapers labeled with your child’s name.  (Please place in the basket on the front counter in the classroom.)

  • A lunch with easy to eat food and drink.  (Please label ALL returnable items in your child’s lunch.)

If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask.  You can also email me any time you wish at kevinandanja@t6b.com. I will do my best to respond by the next class. Again, we are so very blessed to be your child’s teachers. We look forward to watching your child grow and develop.

Your Faithful Fish Teachers,
Anja, Melanie and Vickie
