Adult Communities

First Free Rockford has 6 Adult Communities which gather together on Sunday mornings at our Main Campus.  The emphasis of Adult Communities is the building, maturing, disciple-making, and spiritual formation of the believer.

ADULT COMMUNITIES

Bereans

  • AGE: 50-95
  • TIME: Sunday 10:15 am
  • ROOM: 262

The Bereans Adult Community offers a time of experienced teaching and roundtable discussion along with worship, prayer, and sharing.  The members of this adult community view each other as family and work to look after each other.  Outside of Sundays, they have 3-4 socials each year.  The Bereans also sponsor a child in Africa through Global Fingerprints (EFCA) and provide support for two missionary families.

Maranatha

  • AGE: 60-95

The Maranatha Adult Community offers a time of teaching, worship, and prayer each Sunday.  Each week they collect an offering for missions and designate time for members to share how God has blessed them.  In addition to Sundays, the Maranatha Adult Community meets the first Sunday of the month at Stockholm Inn for lunch, and have occasional social gatherings throughout the year.

The Mosaic Adult Community opens class with any information that needs sharing followed by a time of prayer around tables, and 30-40 minutes of teaching.

Sojourners

The Sojourners Adult Community opens class with any information that needs sharing followed by a time of musical worship, group prayer and a time of teaching.
